Thallium
Thallium is a five piece modern rock band that specializes in guitar driven classic to current rock hits as well as their own brand of original rock.
Built on the foundation of the rock solid rhythm section of Bret Wilson-bass & Matthew Johnson-drums, the searing guitars of Rick Ursin & Randy Nitch & the incredible vocals of Ric Raemon, Thallium reaches for heights unattainable for other bands. Their renditions of tunes like Night Ranger’s “Don’t Tell Me You Love Me” & Audio Slave’s “Like a Stone” are said to be as good as or better than the original.
Speaking of better than the original, guitarist Rick Ursin’s version of guitar god Eric Johnson’s “Cliffs of Dover” is incredible & consistently brings the crowd to their feet. Veteran bassist Bret Wilson has been quoted saying, “I can’t believe Rick is only 24 years old. I’ve had the privilege of playing with some really talented guitarists, but this kid is the best yet!”
Thallium’s original music is reminiscent of their many influences. From the Pink Floyd-ish “Disintegration” to the Black Sabbath inspired dark guitars of “Threadbare”, the band manages to blend these diverse elements into a sound that is unique & all their own.
With dedicated veteran musicians & new found talent, Thallium brings their music & showmanship to the stage in a way which never fails to entertain!
