MissBehavin’

Review from October’s Wassup Magazine

“MISSBEHAVIN’ has been getting a fair share of talk amongst the local band scene followers, so we decided to check them out for ourselves. This 4 piece party band is composed of dedicated and talented musicians who play music ranging over 4 decades of the best classic rock and R&B. MissBehavin’ does a bang up job of replicating some of the coolest guitar riffs, drum rolls and high notes from the 60′s to the present. Up front singing is Denise Ebler, who has a Janis Joplin/AnnWilson type stage presence and backs it up with an amazing voice. This girl knows how to belt out a song! Playing lead Wawrzyniak whos blues-to-rock style works so well with Denise’s sultry voice. These two are definitely on the same musical page. The bass guitar duties are skillfully handled by Craig Hunter whose proir experience as a lead guitarist gives him the play it loud and in your face confidence. Craig also contributes by singing back-up. If the magical sticks drummer Jim Nonneman looks familiar to you it’s because his origins are her performing at the hottest nightclubs and outdoor festivals too! One would expect a band with a female lead singer to perform alot of “chick” songs but, to our surprise MissBehavin’ did a great job covering Led Zeppelin, The Stones, Mellencamp and more! This band rocked us hard all night and we were bummed when the show came to an end. Our pick of the night had to be a tie between Pat Travers “Snortin’ Whiskey” and Al Greene’s “Let’s Stay Together”. These 2 very different songs both executed flawlessly show the diverse high energy this band has. ROCK ON!!!
